According to the new regulations, the consignee must be a local company in Thailand, unless there is a transshipment clause in the bill of lading. If the consignee is To Order, the notify party must also comply with this requirement. In addition, goods other than general cargo (Dry Cargo) are not accepted for transshipment to Myanmar.

For general cargo transshipped to Myanmar,it is necessary to contact the booking customer service and provide relevant information as required when booking, and display the correct transshipment clause in the goods description of the bill of lading. At the same time,if the customer wants to transship to other countries by themselves, the Thai company or agent must also be shown on the bill of lading.

Frozen goods cannot be transshipped to other countries, and packaging units cannot be Container (except for Tank Container and SOC Container),Loose,or IBC.Additionally, the marks on the bill of lading cannot be blank, otherwise it will lead to declaration failure.

The implementation of these new regulations aims to ensure the safety and accuracy of exported goods, and at the same time protect the economic and commercial interests of Thailand. For merchants who need to export to Thailand,it is very important to understand and comply with these regulations.Only in this way can the safe transportation and timely delivery of goods be ensured, thereby improving the success rate of export business.
