TRADE Q&A
L/C Service Q&A
Our European clients require products to be shipped in SKD or CKD formats. What exactly does this mean? What are the differences compared to exporting complete products? How will this affect our customs declaration, logistics, and client negotiations respectively?
We recently received a Debit Note from a foreign supplier demanding additional payment, which wasn't mentioned in the previous contract. At the same time, we've also received a Credit Note before. Could you please explain what these two documents mean? What are the potential risks in international trade? How should we handle this situation?
We have a batch of construction materials to be exported to the European Union, and the client requires us to provide CE certification and a DOP performance declaration. This is our first time dealing with these two certifications, and we have no idea where to start. Could you please explain the specific process? Which institutions should we contact to handle these certifications? What are the approximate costs and processing timeframes? Will this affect our delivery schedule?
We have an urgent order, and the unit specified on the bill of lading is "packages", but both the packing list and the certificate of origin list "CTNS". Will this affect the customer's customs clearance? Is it still possible to make changes to the order now?
The client asked us to label the samples with "FPO (For Placement Only)", stating that this is to facilitate customs clearance. I want to ask whether this labeling will affect the export of our subsequent formal orders? Will customs assume that our products are only for display and cannot be sold just because the samples are labeled with FPO? Additionally, are there any operational differences between express delivery and air freight?
