Definition of Polymer Batteries

Polymer batteries generally refer to lithium polymer batteries, also known as polymer lithium-ion batteries. These batteries feature high energy density, compact size, and lightweight properties. They consist of three key components: cathode, anode, and electrolyte, with at least one component made of polymer material. In most battery systems, polymer materials are primarily used in the cathode and electrolyte.Due to the absence of excess electrolyte, these batteries are more stable and reliable.

Main Application Areas of Lithium Polymer Batteries

Lithium polymer batteries are hailed as "the most promising chemical power source" and widely used in smartphones, laptops, and other devices due to their provision of the safety and cycling performance required for lithium secondary batteries, along with advantages such as high specific energy,a broad operating temperature range, stable working voltage, and long storage life.automobiles, and other products.Well-known examples include Apples entire product line and new energy vehicles from Toyota,Nissan, etc.all of which utilize these batteries.

Storage Conditions for Lithium Polymer Batteries

For lithium polymer batteries, the optimal state of charge should be maintained at 40-60%,with the best storage temperature between 15-25°C and relative humidity between 45-85% RH.

Documents Required for Exporting Lithium Polymer Batteries

Lithium polymer batteries are classified as Class 9 dangerous goods by the United Nations, requiring specific documents for export. These include the Inspection Result Sheet for Performance of Transport Packaging of Import and Export Goods applied for by the packaging manufacturer from the local customs, and the Inspection Result Sheet for Use of Transport Packaging of Export Dangerous Goods applied for by the battery manufacturer based on the aforementioned result sheet.

Handling Methods for Failed Packaging Inspection

If the export packaging for lithium polymer batteries fails inspection, export is prohibited, and a Notification of Non-compliance for Export Goods will be issued. However,if rework and rectification are possible and the packaging passes re-inspection,the Inspection Result Sheet for Use of Transport Packaging of Export Dangerous Goods will be issued.
